We have been working on the ESOL Stepping Stones project at University of Manchester for about three years now. The project and our materials have been received with open arms, with so many people across the country, and beyond, telling us how great the need is and how much they like our stuff. It is an exciting time for us as the project moves in to its next phase. Our initial funding from the ESRC is coming to an end, but we don’t want the project to finish as the need is still huge. In order to move forwards, we have now converted the project in to a Community Interest Company. Today’s been exciting as we launched our new website after working on it for a few months. The promotion of the new website on Twitter and email has led to our busiest day ever for download requests so that’s encouraging! We have also been able to put people in touch in local areas to see how they can work together to deliver something for their communities and we’ve even had a download request from South Africa. We have also launched our competition to give away three complete packs to settings to celebrate. Exciting times!
